The remote and keyboard are both well built and share back lighting for the MCE specific buttons. I want to talk mostly about the keyboard. Range is good and unlike many IR keyboards I have tried this one resists tunnel vision I can aim it away from the tv 90 deg (or more) and still use it typing. Two gripes, the pointing stick on the keyboard is not easy to use and if you buy the keyboard you must get the remote too because it is packaged with the IR box needed for both. Overall I reccomend the keyboard this combo but still use my gyration mouse to point (on the occasion I need a mouse) and will most apt buy their new gyro/MCE remote for this room.
