It has great range; because it is Bluetooth I can use it from other rooms, though not recommended because you can’t see the screen (Ha Ha). It comes with software, but I recommend not using the software it tends to be a little quirky. The board is fully supported by both Vista and XP without using the included software. It is a great buy in spite of the fact it is a little pricey. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]
