PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This adapter converts the connector on a standard Slimline (notebook) CD drive such as CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-RW, or DVD-+RW drive to standard 40-pin IDE, power, and audio output connectors.

On one side of the adapter is a special connector which connects to the Slimline (notebook) CD-ROM Drive/DVD Drive/CD-RW drive, on the other side, is a standard 40-pin IDE connector which connects to a standard IDE controller with a 40-pin IDE cable, it also has a 4-pin power connector that connects to the power supply through a standard floppy drive power connector cable, and a connector that connects the audio output from the CD-ROW/DVD/CD-RW drive to your system's sound card.
